This effort is commendable, and many deserving authors have received deserved attention in recent years because of it. However, one group that seems to be consistently overlooked is women authors. This is not only unfair, but it also does a disservice to readers who are denied access to talented writers’ work. And what can be done to change that?

The role of female authors in contemporary literature is more important than ever.
